How to Fix Adobe Creative Cloud Stuck on Spinning Wheel / Endless Loading

Opening the Creative Cloud app only to stare at an endless blue spinning wheel? Clear the cache and rebuild the connection in 3 simple steps.

When you urgently need to update Premiere Pro or download a new Photoshop font, opening the Creative Cloud desktop app to find it stuck on the "Loading" screen or a blank white screen is incredibly frustrating.

The core reason behind this endless loading is usually corrupted cache files in the OOBE (Out of Box Experience) folder, or a frozen Adobe background process preventing the app from connecting to the server. Here are the 3 most effective steps to fix this.

Step 1: Force Quit All Adobe Background Processes

Before proceeding with any cleanup, you must ensure no Adobe programs are running secretly in the background. Otherwise, the files will be locked and cannot be deleted.

For Windows:

  1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open the Task Manager.
  2. In the Processes tab, look for any process with Adobe or Creative Cloud in its name.
  3. Right-click on them and select End task.

For Mac:

  1. Go to Applications > Utilities and open the Activity Monitor.
  2. Type Adobe into the search bar in the top right corner.
  3. Select all related processes and click the "X" button in the top left corner to Force Quit.

Step 2: Delete the OOBE Folder (The Most Effective Fix)

The OOBE folder manages your Adobe login sessions and license validation cache. Deleting it will not uninstall your software; it simply forces Creative Cloud to rebuild this cache the next time it starts.

Windows Path:

Press Win + R to open the Run dialog, type %localappdata%\Adobe, and press Enter. Find the folder named OOBE and delete it entirely.

C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE

Mac Path:

Open Finder, press Command + Shift + G to open "Go to Folder", enter the path below, and press Enter. Move the OOBE folder to the Trash.

~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE

Step 3: Restart and Sign Back In

After deleting the OOBE folder, launch the Creative Cloud desktop app again. It may take a few seconds longer than usual to initialize. It will then prompt you to sign in to your Adobe account. Once signed in, the spinning wheel issue should be completely resolved.

If the issue persists, download the official Creative Cloud Uninstaller tool from Adobe's website to perform a clean uninstallation, then reinstall the app.

Frequently encountering loading failures, disconnects, or errors?

Often, Creative Cloud gets stuck on an endless loop or blank screen because your system's Hosts file and validation modules were severely damaged by previously installed patched or pirated versions.
